these few days have been sweet for me
ever since sunday service
i'll tell you why

James 1:5-8
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

this verse speaks a lot to us about having faith. And we know that God will not give us when we're unsure.

Life is full of choice and decision
and we know that doesnt come easy

"To get where you wan to go in life, you must start where you are"

Decisiveness is the quality to bring change
however, the opposite of decisiveness is ambibavalence, which means uncertained or confused
(Jm 4:17, Ps 119:113)

Procrastination is another enemy. which means we have thoughts like, "it's ok to delay" or "lets do it next time" we procrastinate because of fear of change, overwhelmed or plain laziness.

(Ecc 11:4, Job 8:7)
there's a real story of a girl sitting on the toilet bowl for 2 years!
even her skin and leg started growing on the bowl and becoming a part of it!
when the police came and asked the boyfriend, he said,
"when i ask her when will she be coming out, she always said 'maybe tomorrow'."

so let us wait no more, not tomorrow, not next year
but choose to make a decision NOW!!
be it our:

Health
Ability
Relationship
Vision
Emotional life
Spiritual life
Thought life

it all comes down to our own DECISION, DEDICATION and DISCIPLINE

here's a more pratical 9 steps:

Activate your planner!
Break large task (how do you eat an elephant? bit by bit)
Create deadline
Deal with the mess
Encourage yourself
Face your fears (do the hardest task 1st)
Goals review
Hang on! dont give up!
Initiate now!!!

once there was a plan by 3 devil to stop the preaching of the gospel
the 1st devil suggested, "let's make the people think that there will be no hell! and let them play all they want!"
the 2nd devil suggested, "let's make the people think that there will be no heaven! so there's no need to share the gospel anymore!"
then the 3rd devil laughed,"you 2 are silly! just tell the people that there's no hurry! there's no need to share the gospel so soon"

yes. it's that simple, our own laziness and procrastination always lead us astray..

let us talk abt money =D
Money dont grow on trees, but it's like a tree

every cent you save will get you back more
no wonder Albert Einstein quoted," The eighth wonder of the world is compound interest"

have a test, would you take a million dollar or someone who teach you how to double your money each day for a month starting from 1cent?

for those who choose the second one, congrats!
you've earned yourself 10 million!
the message is, even though at the starting, things might be insignificant but as long as you keep doing it, you'll have results!
everything starts small!

having said that, making RIGHT decision is vital in our life
(judges chpt 13-16)
samson was a man of God and he was born in he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.

Mahaneh Dan - a place of decision
Zorah - a hornet's sting, wasp nest
Eshtaol - seeking the face of God

he was given a decision to make, God or flesh.
let us be wise in making our decision
if you've read the text, you'll know that samson's life was hell
all because he made wrong decisions again and again
and the sad thing is, he was buried between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father.
all back to the beginning again..

so that's why i'm gonna change now!
all the bad attitudes, pride, selfishness

let's work hard together dear!
let us excel in everything
let us excel in our studies
let us excel in our health
let us excel in our finaces
let us excel in our relationship with people
let us excel in our relationship with God
i know we can do it! right?
